Team USA’s hopes for a podium finish in breaking were dashed as both B-Girls, Sunny and Logistx, were unable to advance past the round-robin stage.

B-Girl Logistx, whose real name is Logan Edra, faced a tough draw, competing against strong medal contenders B-Girl Nicka from Lithuania and B-Girl Syssy from France. Logistx lost to Nicka 2-0 and needed a clean sweep against Syssy in her third round. Despite her efforts, she split the rounds with Syssy, falling just short of the top eight.

B-Girl Sunny showcased her artistry and character but couldn’t keep up with the power moves of her competitors. She was out of quarterfinal contention before her third battle, which she won against Portugal’s Vanessa, 2-0.
